Terms of Service

MpatiQ is a system for recording and structuring lived claims, time-bounded activity (“windows”), and reflections from others.

• MpatiQ does not score or rank people
• MpatiQ does not verify the truth or factual accuracy of claims
• MpatiQ does not make judgments about individuals
• MpatiQ may apply structural certifications to certain system elements (such as windows) based on defined criteria, but such certifications do not represent or imply that a claim is true

It preserves what was stated, what was observed, what was reflected by individual witnesses, and how those align over time. All interpretation remains with the viewer.

By using MpatiQ, you agree to use the system in a truthful and responsible manner.

You must be at least 18 years old to use MpatiQ.

You are responsible for activity associated with your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of access to your account.

• Claims reflect your own lived experience
• You do not impersonate another person
• You do not submit false or misleading information
• You do not misuse the system to harm or misrepresent others

Reflections are individual observations about specific claims and specific periods of time.

A reflection can only be submitted when a claim holder invites a witness to reflect on a specific time-bounded window during which the witness directly observed the claim being embodied.

MpatiQ does not independently confirm whether a witness directly observed the claim. Invitations to reflect are issued by the claim holder.

• Reflect only what you directly observed
• Stay within the relevant context
• Do not generalize beyond what was witnessed

Reflections are initiated by the claim holder, scoped to a defined window, and represent perspective—not objective truth.

MpatiQ does not guarantee the accuracy of claims, the validity of reflections, or the trustworthiness of any individual.

MpatiQ provides structure—not conclusions.

No system designation, including certification, should be interpreted as proof of truth or character.

MpatiQ should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions about individuals.

MpatiQ may offer a certification layer for certain elements of the system, such as time-bounded windows.

Certification reflects that a window meets specific structural or procedural criteria defined by the system.

Certification does not verify the truth of a claim, the accuracy of a reflection, or the character or trustworthiness of any individual.

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including claims and reflections.

By submitting content, you grant MpatiQ permission to store, display, and process it as necessary to operate the system.

MpatiQ may perform limited internal processing to maintain, secure, and improve the system's functionality, without repurposing user content beyond its original role within the system.

System-applied designations (such as certifications) do not transfer ownership or alter the underlying nature of user-submitted content.

MpatiQ does not sell your content.

MpatiQ may remove, restrict, or limit access to content or accounts if misuse is detected or system integrity is at risk.

Parts of MpatiQ may change or be unavailable at times.

MpatiQ is provided “as is,” to the fullest extent permitted by law. MpatiQ is not responsible for how users interpret content or decisions made based on it.

These Terms may be updated over time. When material changes are made, MpatiQ will take reasonable steps to make those changes visible, and the 'Last updated' date will reflect the current version. Continued use of MpatiQ means you are operating under the Terms in effect at that time. MpatiQ does not introduce material changes in a way that avoids user awareness.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
